Over 50 years in Greenland
We have been present in Greenland over 50 years, known as ‘Sømandshjem’, a place with accommodation and warm food for seafarers and fishermen. Little over a year ago, we were renamed and reborn as Hotel SØMA, keeping our most important values as our foundation, though moving towards many ambitious plans for development.
Open doors and open hearts
Hotel SØMA is a non-profit hotel chain. All of our profits are used to help and support seafarers, fishermen, people in the maritime and also local communities in Greenland. This is what we call our welfare work and a great motivation to work hard, as we know our work is meaningful for many in need. Your stay with us makes also a difference for these people and local communities.
A piece of Greenland
We wish to help our guests experience a piece of Greenland. After over 50 years in Greenland, we became experts in our four beautiful destinations that do not cease to amaze us. We are working on providing there experiences for our guests, while creating a welcoming atmosphere when visiting the arctic. Our destination specialists are creating various packages from 1 – 10 days carefully put together to represent the best from each destination in a given season. We are likewise offering many guided activities and renting out bikes or snow mobiles. Meanwhile, we like to offer good tips for those who wish to explore our destinations on their own.
